Volunteers needed to assist in the Choice Pantry in several ways including sorting/stocking food and clothing and working with clients as they make food and clothing choices. Office Assistance is appreciated as we have ongoing opportunities for volunteers in a variety of tasks. We have a choice pantry in both the Newtown, Batavia and Amelia locations. Children 8 and up may volunteer with their parents to help stock and sort. Children 13 and up may volunteer in the pantry assisting the families that come in for food and clothing. Pantry hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 2:00 and Monday evenings.
Saturday opportunities available at Batavia Pantry location. Call Carol at 561-3932 for information.
Group opportunities may be available when there is a large donation to sort and organize.
Volunteers love helping with our twice monthly mobile pantries held at various locations. Volunteers are needed to help set up the food on tables, shop with families, and enjoy the camaraderie with the families and other volunteers.
Children 8 and up are welcome to come volunteer with an adult for the mobiles.
Volunteers are needed to help sign up families for our Holiday Adopt-A-Family program and/or Distribute the Holiday Gifts to our Adopted Families in December.
Take a shift at our Toy Store in early December and help families make selections of reduced price toys.
