Programs - We will build on our strengths, expanding those, which we do well, and seek out collaborative partnerships in areas better served by others. In areas where there is no program available, we will collaborate with others to establish such programs. We will evaluate all programs so that they are relevant to the 8 Basic Needs categories. Immediate emphasis will be placed on the areas of Food, Shelter, and Clothing. Program structures will be volunteer driven.
Leadership - The Board will be comprised of individuals who are personally committed to the mission of IPM. Congregational representation will always remain the majority of Board members, and we will seek individuals who possess specific skills needed to increase the effectiveness of the Board in accomplishing our mission. We will strive to strengthen the composition of the Board as it relates to time, talent, and treasure. The Executive Director will be responsible for implementing the mission of IPM and providing leadership in the greater community.
Staff - We will continually strive to provide necessary training for staff in the 8 Basic Needs areas. We will hire additional staff to implement the satellite concept and to provide expanded services in specific program areas.
Volunteers - We will be a volunteer driven agency. We will provide opportunities for mission outreach and community service. We will increase the number of volunteers in order to provide services in the 8 Basic Needs areas. We will also offer specific training as needed. Volunteer opportunities for all ages are planned.
Churches - We will expand church support both from financial resources and volunteers. We see churches as potential satellite locations in reaching out to the greater community. All this provides opportunities for churches to establish mission outreach for its members.
Physical Space & Location - We will be cognizant of the need to be close to both clients and supporters of IPM. Our strategy will be two fold. IPM will have a central location that has the capacity to house staff and inventory for the services we provide. And we will also establish satellite locations through church settings that will be more accessible to the individuals and families we serve.
Marketing/Communications/Public Relations - We will be proactive providing accurate information and/or education about IPM through Annual Reports, Newsletters, press releases, videos, brochures, and our web page. We will honor and respect donor relations and privacy. We will provide members, and have available for the public, meaningful communication about the work of IPM.
Technology - We will have an efficient, networked information technology system, which supports our ministries and allows them to grow. Communication will be based on a central phone system with use of cell phones for satellite sites.
Finances - We will continue to rely on major levels of support from our Founding churches. We will also seek out and establish new church financial support. We will constantly expand special event fund-raisers for both financial and public relations gains. We will evaluate the financial needs of IPM and establish plans for future growth. We will develop and implement a capital campaign.
